Mississippi Delta Council for Farm Workers Opportunities

Advancing the economic security, health, and education of communities across the Mississippi Delta

Where Opportunity Begins and Community Grows.

Since 1971, the Mississippi Delta Council for Farm Worker Opportunities, Inc. (MDCFWOI) has worked to advance the economic security, health, and education of communities across the Mississippi Delta. Our mission is to empower migrant and seasonal farm workers and low-income families through career development, agricultural training, education, and emergency support, helping them build pathways to long-term opportunity.

Vision

MDC’s vision is to ensure all migrant and seasonal farm workers living in the state of Mississippi, who have been displaced by employment barriers or other conditions, have greater access to employment opportunities; thereby, being able to access a vastly improved quality of life.

Mission

MDCs mission is to raise job skill levels through education, job training, job counseling, and supportive services; thereby, increasing opportunities for migrant and seasonal farm workers to enter unsubsidized employment at a greater earning gain.
